• Dr. Renata Vaysman

    Dr. Vaysman is a native Brooklynite who is happy to be joining the Ridge Psychological Team. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in developmental psychology and clinical assessment. Her clinical experience is varied and includes community mental health centers, schools, medical centers, law enforcement, and forensic settings. She also has extensive training and experience in psychological and neuropsychological testing, with a specific focus on the integration of psychological and neuropsychological testing data to help inform diagnosis and treatment.

    Dr. Vaysman earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and political science from Hunter College (CUNY) and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany (SUNY).  She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Andrus Children’s Center Outpatient Department where she was trained in evidenced based treatment approaches like trauma-informed approaches to treatment and specialty treatment approaches, such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

    After finishing her education, Dr. Vaysman worked as a staff psychologist for an urban law enforcement agency where she conducted psychological evaluations and provided emergency on-call services. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Vaysman held appointments as an adjunct professor and has been involved in national conference presentations and professional publications in the areas of child psychopathology, health psychology, and developmental psychology. She currently shares her time between working as a psychologist within the court system and private practice.
