Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Tatyana Shchupak is excited to be joining the Ridge Psychological Team. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in psychological assessment and therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Shchupak received her doctorate with a specialization in children and adolescents at Southern Illinois University- Carbondale. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and her post-doctoral fellowship at the CARES Institute at Rowan University School of Medicine under the direction of Dr. Esther Deblinger (co-developer of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; TF-CBT).
Prior to joining the Ridge Psychological Team, Dr. Shchupak served as a supervising psychologist and coordinator of psychology at JCCA (FHS), a foster care agency, where she provided clinical services to youth and families and supervised doctoral trainees. Dr. Shchupak has also provided therapy and assessment services to adults across settings, including a law enforcement agency and an evaluation and developmental center.
Dr. Shchupak is trained in evidence-based treatment approaches, including trauma-informed approaches (certified in TF-CBT). She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her clinical work, and integrates interpersonal and systems approaches. Dr. Shchupak has specialized interest and training in supporting caregivers around parenting skills. Dr. Shchupak values consulting and collaborating with other providers (e.g., teachers, psychiatrists, etc.) to provide comprehensive assessment and care.
