Developing Skills For Healthier Lives Virtually and in our Bay Ridge & Park Slope offices

In addition to our extensive neuropsychological assessment services, we also offer more traditional therapy sessions for residents of Brooklyn and all five Boroughs. Keep reading to learn more about what you can expect during therapy with our professionals.

    Getting Started

You can contact our office by phone, send us an email or you can book a phone consultation appointment right now. Once you make an appointment, you will receive our start up forms through a secure portal to complete in advance of your appointment so that we can review your concerns before you come in.

During your first appointments, you will meet with our licensed psychologist to discuss the challenges you face and your concerns about important aspects of your life, such as work, school and your relationships. The consultation gives you the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the variety of available treatment options we have to offer. At the end of the consultation appointment, we will discuss your goals, potential diagnoses, and recommendations for care, including whether our services are right for you. Then, you and your therapist will set up an individualized treatment plan to enable you to work toward achieving your goals.

    Therapy Methods

We use an Integrative approach to therapy which combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Dynamic and Play Therapy techniques to effectively assist you with your concerns. Therapy involves a combination of understanding how your problems originated, how they are affecting your life and relationships and developing the coping skills you need to move forward. The goal of therapy is to challenge your unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and to learn new behaviors to improve your mood and your life.

We offer both short and long term mental health care. At the outset, sessions are often made weekly and your progress towards your goals is monitored throughout. Long term, you may visit less often, but you have an established relationship with a clinician who you can rely on when needed. We specialize in treating:

    • Anger
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder
    • Learning issues
