Consultation Services
Before setting up services with Ridge Psychological, we recommend starting with a consultation. This is a great way to discover which services might be the most beneficial for you. Whether you prefer a virtual meeting, or an in-person visit at our Park Slope or Bay Ridge office, a consultation can help you explore the options available to support your goals and promote a healthy lifestyle. Check out the details below to learn more about what to expect from the consultation process.
Getting Started
Feel free to reach out to our Park Slope or Bay Ridge office by phone, drop us an email, or even schedule a phone consultation appointment right away. After booking your appointment, we'll send you our startup forms via a secure portal. Completing these forms ahead of time helps us understand your concerns before your visit.
What Happens During a Consultation Visit?
During your consultation, you'll have the chance to sit down with one of our licensed psychologists to talk about any challenges you're facing and concerns you have about important areas of your life, like work, school, and relationships. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn about the different treatment options we offer, such as therapy and various evaluations, including psychological, neuropsychological, and educational assessments. If you have any documents you'd like us to review, like medical records or past evaluations, please bring them along.
Typically, consultations are just one session, but sometimes we might need a few more to fully understand your situation and provide the best advice. By the end of your consultation, we'll discuss your goals, any potential diagnoses, and our care recommendations. We'll also help you decide if our services are the right fit for you.
